The first season of South of Nowhere premiered on The-N on November 4, 2005. It is a popular teen television show that was created by Thomas W. Lynch. Like many other episodes that aired on The-N, such as Degrassi: The Next Generation, South of Nowhere tackled very controversial issues such as racism, homosexuality, homophobia, adoption, abortion, teen drinking, drugs, teen pregnancy, death, hate crimes, infidelity, stress, peer pressure, region, and the military. Quite a broad range of issues for a show that only lasted for three seasons.

In the first season a family moves from a small town in Ohio to LA, where they find themselves unprepared for the city’s fast pace, and the overcrowded public school that their three teenagers will attend.
